Solid Trace

Temporary light sculptures within the urban environment.

The Solid Trace series was born over fifteen years ago as a study of the urban environment - not the postcard locations we see on insta and tourist sites, but the dead and raw spaces within the urban environment that we pass everyday but go largely unnoticed and ignored.

The intention is to create dynamic images that have a strong sculptural aesthetic enhanced by the light forms I create within each individual location.

The images are real and made entirely in camera using long exposures and a variety of lights and torches to paint in the light forms.
